Jane Lawton Potelle

Jane Lawton Potelle is founder and Executive Director of Eaton Fire Residents United, a resident-led, data-driven organization advancing a safe, just, and equitable recovery after the January 2025 Eaton Fire. EFRU’s team, including JPL scientists, USC professors, and data scientists, created the nation’s largest public dataset of testing from standing homes affected by a wildland-urban interface fire. The organization uses this research to inform residents and advocate for stronger testing and remediation standards. Jane also chairs the Health and Safety Committee of the Eaton Fire Collaborative. Previously, she served as a Glendale Parks, Recreation & Community Services Commissioner and helped lead the Glendale Environmental Coalition. A Carnegie Mellon graduate, Jane has remained displaced from her Altadena home with her husband and son since January 2025.
